We’ve created Zumbro’s Coronavirus Advisory Team that includes community and public health physicians who are continually advising staff and leadership on best practices. Based on their initial recommendations, we have created a list of changes in and around worship to support the health and vitality of our congregation. (See below.) We will post regular updates on the website and email them.
Our spiritual health requires connection. Keep in mind that you could connect in different ways: Consider viewing the 8:30am Sunday service at our website. Life of Zumbro, The Big Idea Guide and The Zumbro Current can be read online, as well. There are options for giving electronically and by mail. Sign on the yellow insert for weekly ENews In the meantime, we all can prevent the spread of germs by following the directives from the Center for Disease Control.
We will have worship.
We will not have live ZED talk.
We are not going to serve communion.
We not having Faith Formation.
We are going to discontinue Lenten meals.
We will not serve coffee and donuts.
We’re not going to pass offering baskets, use hymnals, or pass the connection pads.
If we get to a point in which we need worship without the congregation, we’ll have a “skeleton crew” for singing, preaching, music, etc. and plan on streaming it.
We’ll encourage folks to practice social distancing as needed.
