Our Church, Our Future-Capital Campaign Update
As we approach the end of the second year of our three-year capital campaign, to simply say thank you seems a feeble attempt to recognize the generosity of so many. Generosity not only of treasure but of time and talent too. Following is an update on how we are doing with the campaign.
It has already been reported and celebrated that we surpassed our campaign goal of $2.5 million in pledges. Here are a few other highlights of our progress to date:
- We have received about $2.1 million in pledged and non-pledged gifts.
- 123 out of 321 pledges have been completed with another 125 expected to be completed by the end of this year.
- We kept our mortgage below $4 million as stipulated by the congregation (we were approved for a mortgage of up to $5.5 by our lender).
- We currently have about $395,000 unspent which will be used for the organ renovation and debt reduction.
We continue to encourage new members to join us in making a campaign gift or pledge. We also hope that, if you have already made a gift or pledge to the campaign, you might prayerfully consider an additional gift or increasing your pledge.
Yes, this is “our church” and “our future.” But more importantly, our building is our platform for ministry to our community, the world, and to each other.
With deep gratitude, Ann Beatty and Bob GiereCampaign Co-Chairs
