The Dinka are a tribe from southern Sudan who came to the United States as refugees during a long civil war. This congregation worships Jesus Christ in their native language of Dinka and serves as a gathering place for Southern Sudanese Dinka in Rochester.

The Sudanese Dinka Community is a partner of Zumbro Lutheran Church and is a worshiping community of the ELCA.

The congregation is led by lay evangelist William Deng.

Zumbro opened its doors to the Dinka congregation in 2005.
